We provide truck, trailer, and container builders with any length of flooring
or wall lining with ship-lap, square edge, crusher bead, tongue & groove,
or custom milling. Our product is available in thicknesses from ¾ inch
to 2 inches, (2½" on special orders) and in standard width 11-13/16" boards, with greater widths readily available as kits.
Lewisohn laminated oak hardwood is produced at our own plant, Rad Woodwork Co., in Nescopeck PA. Nescopeck is in the Wilkes-Barre region of Eastern PA, at I-80 and near I-81.
Our laminated hardwood is
manufactured from kiln-dried, Appalachian hardwood, primarily red and white
oak. Our Rad Woodwork facility has a kiln capacity of over 200,000 board
feet, and is equipped for high volume, efficient production of high quality
laminated hardwood.
We assemble our laminated oak hardwood from selected, edge-grained, face-glued
7/8" strips which are hook-lock jointed together and electronically
cured, to achieve maximum bonding strength. The assembled block is then cut into
boards to your specifications, fine-planed and delivered to you, ready for
finishing and installation. Delamination of our wood product is virtually unknown.
Lewisohn's laminated oak hardwood is also used in the
furniture building trades
for tables, desks, and benches as well as for quality interior flooring, counter tops, and remodeling.
At our North Bergen NJ warehouse, we offer free next-day delivery to the greater NYC Metro area from a variety of stock product lengths, from 12 to 44.5 feet, at thicknesses of 1-1/8 through 1-3/4 inches, and 11-13/16 inches in width. We can readily assembly custom kits at a greater range of widths to meet your specification. Factory orders are shipped in 5-7 days directly from Rad Woodwork in Nescopeck PA, and are FOB Nescopeck.
